I love food so much. I especially like it when I cook what I eat. I thought I would show you what's cooking in my kitchen this year. I make no promises as regards photo quality or presentation, in my mind's eye this stuff would look like what you see on the cover of a magazine but I think I'd have to hire a pro to do that. I do hope to make you hungry, though!
Mom and I managed to do up the big Christmas Day lunch somewhat healthy this year.
Oooooh! So inviting!
Glazed Ham (I don't know if it's a trade secret or not, but mom cooked the ham in an oven bag to retain the moisture. I'm still dumbfounded by how it's ok to do this with ham, but a no-no with turkey.)
Roasted Asparagus with Gruyere Cheese (also featuring red pepper and onion)
Wild and Brown Rice Vegetable Pilaf (This was a great recipe because you cook the rice in chicken broth, which adds so much more richness than just water.)
Best to let sleeping dogs lie. This is Sophie. She is not food. (At least in our culture.) But I thought she looked peaceful and deserved a spot on the new blog.
