Sorry it's been so long...
20 Minute Chicken Creole
French Onion Soup--yech! Never again...
Thanksgiving Turkey-
Whenever I roast a turkey, (about once a year) I do something kind of odd and actually marinate it, rather than dry roast it or use a brine.
One Dish Turkey and Biscuits
Turkey Frame Soup- - the best thing about cooking a turkey--all of the stuff you can do with the leftovers, as the above two dishes demonstrate!

Some other stuff...
Running Fuel
Let me tell you the best part about running and cycling a lot. What most people would call a "diet bomb"...I get to call FUEL. Below is my favorite pre-workout snack in two easy steps.
Step 1-
You take an oatmeal raisin cereal bar. And then you take another oatmeal raisin cereal bar. Slather one of them with reduced fat peanut butter.
Step 2-
You smush them together into a delicious sandwich-type snack.
Enjoy!

Some vegetarian stuff...
Cranberry Almond Cereal
Fresh blueberries from the farmer's market were a last-minute addition. There are so many grains in this cereal to help you power through the day: oats, bulgur wheat, barley.
Mushroom Tofu Pockets
My first time to make anything with puff pastry sheets, which probably aren't the healthiest thing you could eat. But everything inside is just fine for your body!
Spinach Salad with Avocado and Oranges
Pasta Primavera with Asparagus

Broiled Shrimp with Feta, Orzo, and Tomatoes
Yum! This one's another recipe from _The Rock Cafe Cookbook._
Sloppy Joes and Corn on the Cob with Cajun Herbed Butter
This was a farmer's market special. Buffalo substituted for the ground beef, which is leaner, and the corn is finally in season! Woo-hoo!
Red Pepper and Onion Sandwiches
Vegetarian Stuff...
Meatless Tacos
Bean and Cheese Burritos
Tortilla and Black Bean Casserole
Lentil and Veggie Tostadas
Pasta Primavera
So, that's a lot of vegetarian meals right there at the end. I can't say I'm ready to totally eschew meat, but I must say, it's quite a bit cheaper when you're not buying those expensive cuts of meat.
Failures
Sometimes when you're trying new things, they don't work out. (See also listening to friends' musical suggestions, trying out new restaurants, viewing documentaries you've never heard of...)
Here are a couple monumental recipe failures from the last week or two...
Beans with Pesto Bulgur
YECCCHHH! I was able to get two bites of this down before I realized I had made a horrible, horrible mistake! (Yes, you have to take the second bite to make sure you didn't somehow process it wrong.)
Couscous with Dried Fruit, Butternut Squash and Turmeric
Woah! I can't describe to you how much of a disappointment this one was.
